Quilt a day #21

I was actually going to show a couple tops I finished pressing the borders on today, but I haven't gotten them photographed yet. So hopefully tomorrow! This quilt I made several years ago for my friend Deb. I love the graphics of this quilt. It will now be residing with Deb's sister, she fell in love with it.

That is lovely - so intricate that it looks like a woven coverlet - amazing. What a nice memory for Deb's sister.

I love Burgoyne Surrounded. That has been on my "someday" list. How did you quilt it?

Julie...this is the exact pattern and color of the quilt I fell in love with that started my adventure into quilting. The cover of the book, America's Heritage Quilts, has this quilt in blue and white white. Burgoyne Surrounded will always be my favorite pattern. You did a beautiful job!!!!!

Mel,I simply stipple quilted in the blue, nothing in the white. Not very original!

Jeanne, how awesome to hear about how you got started quilting! i had forgotten how cool this quilt is. I might have to make one for myself sometime!

I really like how dramatic it is with the colors reversed so the dark is the background. It really is stunning!
