Be My Neighbor

This post is dedicated to my Be My Neighbor quilt.  I did finish it over a week ago during the Quiltathon at Patchwork Times.  I finally got some pictures, but it's so hard to get a full size picture when I can't take it outside!  I'm afraid it would get too wet with the snow.  I also couldn't get it to show the true brightness of the fabrics.

I quilted wavy lines horizontally from edge to edge.  It was fun and added the texture I wanted.

I used a stripe binding and applied it completely by machine, sewing it on the back and flipping it to the front and edge stitching.

I am entering the quilt into the contest on the Bear Creek Be My Neighbor site. scroll down to the bottom so you can see the details of the contest.

What a fun and happy finish! I love the brightness of your neighborhood. Wouldn't it be fun to come upon a neighborhood like this when out for a drive? It looks great on your bed. Congrats!

It's an awesome finish! Mine will be done much later. I haven't got time before the end of the month to do this one. Lots of other Projects happening in my Quilt Zone. I took a picture in the Snow. I just didn't leave it laying on the Snow too long.

Beautiful quilt, and good luck on the contest! I saved all the patterns but have yet to pick a colorway.

Of all the finished Be My Neighbor quilts I have seen on Facebook and blogs, your's is my favorite. It is so fabulous, bright and happy. Your border makes it so special!
