10 Year Blogoversary and Giveaway!

I can't believe it's been ten years since I started blogging!  It's been haphazard at best, but I enjoy sharing my quilts with others.  I spend so much time quilting it's hard to squeeze in the blog posts!

Before I get to the giveaway (keep scrolling, I am giving away a quilt!), I will show my design table.  I can't show the project, but the pile of pieces in my last blog post is now 49 sashing units with 24 pieces in each unit. I look forward to being able to share the quilt after it posts on Quiltmaker's blog, but first it has to get finished!  Check out Patchwork Times for other Design Wall projects.

Now onto the giveaway!  The first photo is my linen closet.  I think I have a few quilts.  Believe it or not, I just refolded them all on New Year's Day.  There is everything from tiny miniatures to a couple king size quilts in there, lots of wallhangings too.  Yes, there are quilts sitting on the floor!  I have given away many, many, many quilts and I guess I am a quilting fanatic!  Really me?  I have about at least 35 on display in my house right now too.

SOOOOO.... I picked some quilts that I can part with and the random number selected from everyone who leaves a comment on my blog will get to pick which one they want!  Or you can tell me a type of quilt you are looking for and I might find it in my stash.  I have very few earthy colored quilts though!  Leave a comment about which quilt is your favorite and you MUST include your email address or have your profile linked to an email.  I know I have a few friends who won't be able to comment so contact me some other way (FB, email, etc.) and I can assign you a number!

None of these are huge bed quilts, but are nice extra quilts to have on hand or cuddle with!

#1 Chop Suey - batiks 75 X 100

#2 Gemstones - Fairy Frost 68 X 88

#3 Deb's Oriental Garden - Asian fabrics with gold metallic 60 X 80

#4 Row Robin - 66 X 93 flannel backing

#5 18 X 21 Art piece - panel, heavily machine quilted and embellished with yarn and beads.  Hanging sleeve.

#6 Canyon Dance 51 X 69.  Thin batting, but very cuddly couch quilt.  Crooked photo!

#7 Old Glory 51 X 62.  Hand appliqued and has a hanging sleeve for a wallhanging

I tried to put in a variety for everyone, Enjoy!  I will draw the winner Friday, January 22nd, 2016!

I Love the #2 Quilt "Gemstones". You do have a bunch of quilts in your Linen closet. I would be honored to own one of you quilts. Not that I really Need it. Congrats on 10 years!

Wow - impressive display. I love all your quilts - and the ones you quilted for me. The Row Robin is my favorite. Hard to believe it has been 10 years - I need to check and see just how long I've been blogging.

You are so talented!! (I don't have an account or know how to make one... But saw your Facebook post and heard you were an incredible quilter so I had to look!) I absolutely love #3 and #7. (I'm sure Mike's vote would be for number 7 seeing as it has the American flag.) ... P.s this is Kristine, Mike's girlfriend that you still have yet to meet!:)

Julie-I have loved seeing all of your beautiful work here and on FB. With the quilts you posted it's really hard to choose one that I wish would come and live with me. That being said as I re-looked I love #7. I love patriotic quilts. Keep up the awesome work and sharing of your quilts. You are an inspiration!

I love #1 because it is bright and cheerful, what a happy quilt

wow, I'm impressed that you dive into the closet and refold everything! I know you "suppose" to.... I have a bunched rolled together which is great--except when you want to find a certain one you have to unroll everything. Not that big of a deal, but sometimes it is difficult to keep everything in control :)

Old Glory for sure! I am never going to finish mine beyond the one block.

Sue said...

#1 because I love the bright colors and how the blocks are the same but don't connect. It was hard to choose between about four as my "favorite" because I love so much of what you do.

Hi Julie, I like Gemstone, #2. I love the colors and the pattern. But also like #5 the flower. It is so bright and cheery. We always love to see what you have done. See you Wednesday. And you know where to find me. Joyce B.

What a wonderful idea for your blog anniversary. Your quilts are lovely. It's been fun to see all of the scrap squad quilts for 2015. Congratulations on 10 years of blogging. Gemstone and Canyon Dance are my favorites.

Congrats Julie on your 10 yr. anniversary of your blog. I always love your quilts and it was fun to look at the ones you are willing to part with. I made one nearly identical to your Canyon Dance only it was call Red Onion (name of the pattern) I used batiks also in the same color scheme as yours!! LOL It was a fun one to make. My favorite is #3 with the Asian prints. One of my daughters is married to a Korean and Asian prints are her favorites!

Wow Julie! What an opportunity. I think Canyon Dance is my number 1 followed by Fairy Frost. congrats on 10 years.

As a long time quilter I am inspired by the shear amounts if quilts you have!! Amazing amounts of work and a very gifted artist. I would love to have any quilt but not for my self. You see as an owner if two rescue dogs I repeatedly donate money to the rescue I worked with. For I would send it to the founder and have her auction it off and donate the proceeds to the rescue. Whom ever receives any of your quilts is a lucky person!!

WOW love the quilts. I have been quilting for about 7 years now and have not kept any of my quilts for myself. I have always given them away. I am putting borders on a quilt that I have decided will be mine, finally. Now if I can only finish it. All your quilt options are lovely but the #1 Batik Chop Suey really caught my eye. Thank you for the chance to win one of your wonderful works of art. email addy is vkcisme at gmail dot com Thanks, Vicki

I love Canyon Dance, it just speaks to me. Maybe it is because I have always wanted to do a circle quilt but never have. And how great to have a quilt from my Washington friend (having been born and lived in Oregon I never thought that would happen. :-) )

This is sure one generous giveaway. You are a prolific quilter and all of the "nominees" for choice are lovely. Gemstones is the one that calls out to me the most. Thanks for the chance.

Congratulations on ten years of blogging! I've seen your linen closet several times, and yet it still amazes me. You don't need to put me in your drawing since I am the fortunate owner of some of your quilts already. I hope you keep blogging for many more years.

That's a lot of quilts! Congrats on 10 years of blogging! That's pretty impressive too, as is the give away. You've made some gorgeous quilts. But as I have a closet full of my own that aren't in use, please exclude me from the giveaway.
